We explain why we request information and whether it is needed to provide a service. Some details are required to respond to a request or process a payment. We tell you when that is the case.
Optional activities are separate. Declining a survey, research interview, later contact, or use of your story does not affect access to the support you originally requested. If we ask to record an interview, publish an identifiable quotation, or contact you later, the relevant invitation explains that choice.
If we want to record or use your name, voice, photograph, or video in our communications, we provide a Media Consent and Release Form or equivalent consent language in a digital form. It explains how we propose to use the media before you agree. Giving permission is optional and separate from requesting support or participating in a program.
Grants and paid participation are different. Applying for a Micro Cash Grant does not enroll you in a research study or interview. Financial assistance is separate from payment for your time or expertise. Applying does not guarantee a grant.
You may ask us to stop optional future contact. You may also withdraw permission for future use of your name, voice, photograph, or video by contacting security@thinkofus.org.
We will make reasonable efforts to remove media from channels we control, but withdrawal cannot undo materials already printed or distributed or copies shared by others. Some records may need to be kept under law or an agreement.
